Science in English: Colonization

This term we've been working on the British Colonization of North America.
We've learnt lots of things. We started with the Explorers (Sir Humphrey Gilbert and Sir Walter Raleigh). They landed on the East Coast: Newfoundland (Canada) and Roanoke Island (The Lost Colony) in what is now North Carolina.
We learnt about Jamestown, the settlers and the real Pocahontas and also about the Pilgrims and the Crossing of the Mayflower.
We learnt a lot about the American and European History but it was a hard unit especially because there was a lot of information and it was in ENGLISH!
It was difficult to remember the names, the dates and the important facts. We had to study a lot for the final test.
We liked the games our teachers prepared to revise the content. They were really useful and very cool!
